Most of the
cross roller guide rails that have been used for several years are seriously rusted. The rollers on the V-shaped groove surface of the guide rail are pressed with many uneven marks. The butter is dried and condensed, and the surface of the raceway is severely worn and the hardness is increased. Can such cross roller guide rails be repaired? This is a difficult problem raised by some customers. For these problems, we need to pay attention to:
1. The size of the guide rail used by the machine.
2. What is the cost of cross roller guide rail.
3. Whether it is a non-standard part and whether it can be redone in time.
4. Whether the wear or corrosion depth of guide rail surface exceeds 0.1mm.
5. After a long time of operation and load, the straight-line bending of guide rail exceeds 0.2mm/piece.
According to the above points, we need to evaluate the damage of the cross roller guide rail to determine whether it is still worth repairing. On the basis of not affecting the use of the machine, if the cost of grinding exceeds the cost of the cross roller guide rail, there is no need for grinding, and the guide rail is replaced directly.
For the possible cross roller guide rail, our steps are as follows:
1. Only large guide rails or non-standard guide rails are grinded. Because the cost of guide rails is relatively high, the speed of grinding is much faster than the speed of grinding.
2. The guide rail mounting surface is not seriously rusted, and the rusted shell can be removed and polished with grinding amount less than 0.1mm. The straightness test before grinding proved that the bending less than 0.2mm was not a problem. After all, the installation of cross guide rails had jackscrews to control the preloading amount, and the clearance of mounting screws could be adjusted. The single guide rail is 0.2mm smaller, and the adjustment z of a pair installed on one side must be about 0.4mm smaller. This allowance needs to be taken into account.
3. During grinding, according to the principle of small appearance grinding amount z, it is enough to control the grinding of a few wires on one side. The large margin is reserved for the grinding of groove V of the raceway. The main reason is that the surface Rockwell hardness of the raceway V-groove increases and the motion wear is serious after years of operation and drying up of the lubricating oil. The greater the grinding amount, the easier it is to repair.
4. When repairing, use a coarse z grinding wheel --- 16 grain fast grinding to remove the rust shell and burn the layer. Because of the high hardness of the burning layer of the raceway, if a fine grinding wheel is used for grinding, the grinding wheel surface will be scrapped after only one feeding, and the grinding wheel can only be struck again, which will not only fail to grind but also waste time.
5. As the rough sand wheel is used for shelling, it must be taken down for inspection after grinding to see if the guide rail is deformed due to high temperature and heat. After the shelling operation, grind according to the fine grinding steps and conduct paired inspection.
